At Apportis, we are a custom telemedicine company based out of Dublin, Ohio. We take great pride in serving others a software solution that serves their needs. We all love to eat and many of us care about our beloved Farmers! Before the Covid-19 Pandemic shut down America this article on Farmer suicide deaths alarm rural communities in the midwest sounded the alarm.

An article shares: Farmers are among the most likely to die by suicide, compared with other occupations, according to a January study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The study also found that suicide rates overall had increased by 40% in less than two decades.

In 2008, Congress approved the Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network Act to provide behavioral health programs to agricultural workers via grants to states. But it appropriated no money for the legislation until last year — more than one decade and hundreds of suicides later.

100’s of suicides later …. what is the hold up? Can you imaging the stress and drain on mental health now of our American farmers during this Covid-19 Pandemic and shut down of life as we now it? Where do they go for mental health help?

I am proud to work with Apportis and we are on the front lines of this battle and working hard to share our platform to help save lives! Harvest of health is coming!
